Ghana today celebrated it's 60 years of independence from British after 113 years a colonial rule.

The celebration which was marked with the traditional march past and parade at the iconic Black Star Square saw in attendance presidents and guests from neighboring countries.
One person who stole the show with his outfit as monitored by Ghanaweb.com was Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, General Secretary for the NDC.

NDC built only 46 Community Day SHS - Opoku Prempeh File phot Only forty-six out of the 200 planned Community Day Senior High Schools project initiated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government has been completed, the Minister of Education, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh has said. In a radio interview on Asempa FM Tuesday afternoon, the new sector Minister said even with the 46 completed ones, not all of them are in use. The NDC government had on a number of occasions announced that more than 123 of the schools were at various stages of completion and released a list of the said schools in October 2016 following clamours for evidence of progress on the schools. Former President Mahama in the NDC Manifesto for Election 2012 promised to build 200 of the day schools between 2013 and 2016 with the intention to build at least 50 each year within the four-year period.
